1. OBJECTIONABLE CONTENTS

1.1 You may not, nor may you permit any other person to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any user content (“User Content”) that contains other information which may be deemed as unlawful under applicable law (e.g. extremist information).

1.2 Any content that promotes or provokes any individual to commit any crime is prohibited. For example, the following content is against our content standards and will be immediately taken down:

a) Theft

b) Fraud

c) Selling endangered species

d) Sexual assault and sexual violence

e) Vandalism or property damage

f) Physical harm against individuals or group of people

2. VIOLENCE OR INCITEMENT TO VIOLENCE

Online violent content may lead to offline violence. We aim to prevent potential offline harm that may be related to content on Nownaw. While we understand that people commonly express disdain or disagreement by threatening or calling for violence in non-serious ways, we remove language that incites or facilitates serious violence. We remove content, disable accounts and work with law enforcement when we believe that there is a genuine risk of physical harm or direct threats to public safety.

2.1 You may not, nor may you permit any other person to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that is violent/graphic or depicts unlawful acts towards any person.

2.2 Content which has gore and violence will be taken down as soon as it is reported.

2.3 You may not, nor may you permit any other person to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that:

a) depicts or promotes cruelty, violence or unlawful acts towards persons (including playground fights between minors);

b) encourages others to commit acts of violence against individuals or a specified group of people; or

c) contains content concerning street battles, physical attacks, sexual assaults, torture, bodies or violent demonstrations.

2.4 Content that contains direct violence or encourages others to commit any type of crime is prohibited. Individuals or companies are not allowed to spread messages and content regarding any criminal behavior. Any content provoking other users to create violence, cause harm to individuals, or incite others to violence will be immediately taken down and such user will be banned. Following content should not be posted on the Service:

a) Calls for violence and mass killing;

b) Threatening any religion, community, state, race;

c) Statements advocating violence;

d) Manipulating someone’s image;

e) Inspiring others about violence and crime;

f) Providing instructions on explosive material;

g) Misinformation that leads toward violence; or

h) Call to action for violence in election campaigns.

3. NUDITY OR SEXUAL ACTIVITY

We restrict the display of nudity or sexual activity because some people in our community may be sensitive to this type of content. Restrictions on the display of sexual activity also apply to digitally created content unless it is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes (as determined on our discretion).

3.1 You may not, nor may you permit any other person, to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that is pornographic or sexually explicit.

3.2 For example, anything which shows either part of the human body such as women’s breasts, a person’s genitalia, sexual arousal or a sexual fetish will be considered as sexual content and will be removed if posted. In other cases, content that is violent, graphic, or humiliating will not be allowed either. In general, do not share any content containing any of the following (whether relating to adults or minors):

a) Pornography;

b) Depicting sexual or erotic acts, behavior or language;

c) Genitals;

d) Fetishes for sexual gratification;

e) Nudity; or

f) Something similar to above

3.3 If you see such sexual content on the platform, please report it to our support team.

4. SAFETY OF MINORS

We are deeply committed to the protection of minors. We do not allow content that presents minors in a sexual manner nor content that depicts the sexual abuse of minors. Content promoting, encouraging or depicting child abuse or exploitation (whether sexual or non-sexual) is prohibited. Please note that this is not a complete list; we may remove any content that we determine may cause a safety risk to minors.

5. HARASSMENT AND BULLYING

You may not, nor may you permit any other person, to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that harms or exploits any person (whether adult or minor) in any way, including via bullying, harassment or threats of violence.

6. HATE SPEECH

Hate speech is a direct attack against people, rather than concepts or institutions, on the basis of ethnicity, religion, race, caste, sexual orientation or disability. It creates an environment of intimidation and exclusion, and in some cases, may promote offline violence.

6.1 You may not, nor may you permit any other person to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that:

a) incites hatred against any person, group, race, religion or class; or

b) is, or could reasonably be interpreted as being, hateful, harassing, abusive (physical, sexual or verbal), racially or ethnically offensive, discriminatory towards a particular class, individual or group, defamatory, humiliating to other people (publicly or otherwise), threatening, profane or otherwise objectionable;

Such content will be taken down immediately.

6.2 We also discourage content that includes hate, racism or discrimination about the following:

a) Age;

b) Caste

c) Disability;

d) Ethnicity;

e) Gender Identity;

f) Nationality;

g) Race;

h) Immigration status;

i) Religion;

j) Sex/Gender;

k) Sexual Orientation; or

l) Victims of a major violent event.

We may remove any such content in our sole discretion.

7. DANGEROUS ORGANIZATION OR INDIVIDUALS

7.1 We do not allow individuals or organizations to use our Service to promote terrorism, crime, or other types of harmful activities. If we believe there is a threat to the safety of the Service or to your safety, we will ban such user’s account and notify the relevant legal authorities (if applicable). As such, the following content is prohibited on the Service:

a) Terrorist Activity and Terrorist Organizations

b) Organized Hate

c) Mass or Serial Murder

d) Human Trafficking

e) Organized Violence or Criminal Activity

7.2 Any organization/ individual/ group of people that are involved in coordinating harmful products and weapons will be banned. This may also include the following statements, call to actions and advocacy:

a) Vandalism/property damage;

b) Swatting;

c) Fraud, defined as the deliberate deception to take advantage of another, secure an unfair gain, or deprive another of money, property, or legal rights;

d) Bribery;

e) Embezzlement;

f) Money Laundering (concealment of the origins of criminally obtained money) Supporting and/or facilitating the misuse of payment cards;

g) Arranged/forced marriages with refugees or internally displaced persons; or

h) Offers of services to smuggle or assist in smuggling people

7.3 Content uploaded relating to the above will be taken down, and the user will be banned from the Service. Content with no captions, suspicious thumbnails or suspicious captions may also be removed.

8. SUICIDE OR SELF-HARM

We care deeply about the safety of the people who use our Service. We do allow people to discuss the topics of suicide or self-harm because we want Nownaw to be a space where people can share their experiences, raise awareness about these issues and seek support from one another. However, the following are strictly prohibited:

8.1 You may not, nor may you permit any other person, to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that promotes, encourages or depicts suicide or self-harm.

8.2 In an effort to promote a safe environment on Nownaw, we will remove content that encourages suicide or self-harm, including certain graphic imagery and real-time depictions. Self-harm is defined as the intentional and direct injuring of the body, including self-mutilation and eating disorders.

8.3 We may also remove any content that identifies or negatively targets victims or survivors of self-harm or suicide seriously, humorously, or rhetorically.

9. ANIMAL CRUELTY

9.1 You may not, nor may you permit any other person, to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that depicts or promotes cruelty, violence or unlawful acts towards animals, such as cockfighting, dogfighting or other format of animal torture.

9.2 Content containing physical harm committed against animals, except in cases of hunting, fishing, religious sacrifice or food, is against our content standards and will be immediately taken down.

10. SPAM

We work hard to limit the spread of spam because we do not want to allow content that is designed to deceive, or that attempts to mislead users to increase viewership. This content creates a negative user experience, detracts from people's ability to engage authentically in online communities, and can threaten the security, stability and usability of our Service. You agree not to engage in sending unauthorized or unsolicited messages and/or spam when using the Service, or allow any person to use your account to do the same.

11. POST INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT

11.1 You may not, nor may you permit any other person, to upload, share, publish, transmit or otherwise make available on or through the Service any User Content that:

a) contains any deceptive, fraudulent or misleading information, news, business schemes, proposals or transactions;

b) is an advertisement or solicitation of business which is intended for the marketing of any products via our Service, other than in accordance with our Terms of Service;

c) promotes fake products, e.g. phishing schemes;

d) misrepresents or disparages us or our Service;

e) retransmits any television broadcasts, live concerts, sports events, competitions or other live events without the prior consent of the broadcaster, concert or event organizer (as the case may be);

f) creates a risk of loss or damage to any person or property;

g) violates any law, regulation, ordinance and rule; or

h) encourages or is likely to encourage any of content that we have set out in these Guidelines as not permitted.

12. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities when using the Service, or allow any person to use your account to do the same:

a) violate any law, regulation, ordinance or rule (or carry out any actions which may result in violation of any law, regulation or rule when used in a manner permitted by the Terms);

b) other illegal or potentially illegal (as determined by the competent authority and detected by us) activities or transactions, including sale of any illicit drugs, Ponzi or pyramid schemes or money laundering or crimes that threaten the peace of the society and the national security;

c) use the Service for any deceptive, malicious, misleading or fraudulent activities or other non-authorized activities;

d) use the Service to gain unauthorized access to any system, account or data;

e) infringe our rights or any third party's rights, including any intellectual property rights, contractual rights, confidentiality rights or privacy rights;

f) engage in any conduct which may be considered disrespectful to any racial group, local ethics or customs;

g) engage in any form of harassment, intimidation, defamation to any person or disseminate or share any content that may be considered as insulting, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, provocation, hoax, fraudulent or contain any illegal information; or

h) use algorithms to falsely register accounts, illegally trade accounts, manipulate user accounts, or falsely click like or dislike or leave comment, etc. or conduct traffic fraud or traffic hijacking.

13. IMPERSONATE OTHERS

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities when using the Service, or allow any person to use your account to do the same:

a) register or login to an account or access the Service by using unauthorized means (including, without limitation, by third-party software or systems not developed, authorized or approved by us) or by impersonating any person or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or organization; or

b) impersonate another person or organization.

14. SPECIAL GUIDELINE ON COVID-19

As the entire world is confronting the unprecedented public health crisis, Nownaw is sparing no efforts to make sure that our Community Standards protect people from harmful content and new types of abuse related to COVID-19.

We prohibit users from using our platform and Service to spread misinformation about the pandemic, the sale of medical masks and related goods, hate speech (such as hate speech against certain group of people for the alleged connection with the pandemic), bullying and harassment, and all of such that contributes to the risk of imminent violence or physical harm.

We will provide additional policy guidance when appropriate to keep the members of our community safe during this crisis.

15. OTHER PROHIBITED ACTIVITES

15.1 You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities when using the Service, or allow any person to use your Account to do the same:

a) engage in gambling activities, enticing others to gamble;

b) engage in the malicious creation or use of an account, such as creating multiple accounts for cybersquatting purposes or engaging in the sale and purchase of accounts;

c) lend, transfer, sell or otherwise permit another person to use his/her account;

d) use the Service other than for their intended purpose or in any manner inconsistent with the Terms (including these Guidelines);

e) engage in any other activity that encourages any person or entity to breach the Terms (including these Guidelines); or

f) solicit donations without clear disclosure and the permission of the authorized persons from any such charity.

15.2 You may not, nor may you permit any other person (except where we expressly permit you to do so):

a) remove, obscure or modify any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notice, marks or indications found in or on the Service;

b) sub-license, rent, lease, sell or otherwise distribute the Service or charge others for use or access to the Services;

c) modify, reverse engineer or decompile any software embedded in the Service;

d) perform any acts (including, without limitation, hacking, attacking or overloading our networks or servers) or otherwise interfering with, or attempting to interfere with, any user's or any other party's access to the Service;

e) upload viruses, Trojan horses, malicious code, scripts, worms, logic bombs or other means which is malicious or technologically harmful to the Services, our systems or the systems of other users of the Service;

f) use any robot, spider, crawler, off-line reader, or other technical means to intercept, mine, scrape, monitor, copy, collect or extract information or data from the Service;

g) exploit technical defects or bugs in the Service to benefit yourself and/or others in any manner or engage in any other misconduct, or probe or test the vulnerability of, or otherwise circumvent (or attempt to circumvent) any security features on, the Service, our systems or the systems of other users;

h) engage in any "framing," "mirroring," or other techniques directed at simulating the appearance or function of the Service;

i) misrepresent the source or ownership of the Service; or

j) develop any plug-ins, external components or interconnection elements or other technology that inter-operate with the Service, except where we expressly permit you to do so via Service (and where this is the case, your use of such Service may be subject to additional terms and conditions as notified by us to you).

16. PROHIBITED USERS

You may not register for or use the Services if:

a) you are under the age of 13; or

b) we have previously terminated your Account and advised you that you may no longer use Nownaw or our Service.

17. DETECTION OF GUIDELINES VIOLATIONS AND UNAUTHORIZED USE

Please note that there may be technological measures in the Service that are designed to detect uses of the Service that violate these Guidelines and to prevent unlicensed or unauthorized use of the Service. You agree that we may use these measures and that you will not seek to disable or circumvent them in any way.

18. VIOLATIONS OF THESE GUIDELINES

If you violate any provisions of these Guidelines, depending on the severity of your violations, we may take any appropriate action without notice to you, including but limited to, temporarily or permanently limiting your account access, suspending or terminating your access to the Service in accordance with the Terms. If necessary, we may cooperate with law enforcement agencies to investigate any unlawful acts on the Service.
